Vendor Dashboard Overview
When a Vendor Admin logs into the application, they are presented with the vendor dashboard, as shown in the image below:
The Customers tab in the vendor dashboard provides a consolidated view of all growers associated with the vendor. It contains six key columns, described as follows:
Growers – Displays the list of growers under the vendor.
Users – Indicates the total number of users associated with each grower.
Fields – Shows the number of fields managed under each grower.
Irrigation Alerts – Represents the total number of irrigation alerts generated across all fields under the grower.
Sensors – Displays the number of gateways and sensors deployed across the grower’s fields.
Issues – Highlights active gateway-related issues such as offline gateways, low battery, or low voltage conditions.
Temp Alerts - Represents the total number of temperature alerts generated across all fields under the grower.
Grower Dashboard Overview
When a Grower Admin logs into the application, they are presented with the grower dashboard, as shown in the image below:
The grower dashboard provides insights into farm-level data. The Farms tab includes six columns, explained below:
Farms – Displays the list of farms associated with the grower.
Fields – Shows the number of fields under each farm.
Irrigation Alerts – Represents the number of irrigation alerts generated across all fields under the farm.
Sensors – Displays the number of gateways and sensors deployed within the farm.
Issues – Highlights any gateway-related issues such as offline gateways, low battery, or low voltage conditions.
Temp Alerts - Represents the total number of temperature alerts generated across all fields under the grower.
Navigating to a Farm
From the grower dashboard, selecting a specific farm provides access to a farm-level dashboard along with detailed field screens, where more granular field and irrigation data can be reviewed.
Farm Dashboard Overview
The Farm Dashboard provides a consolidated view of key irrigation actions, sensor alerts, and field moisture status. It is designed to help growers and vendors quickly identify areas requiring attention and make informed decisions.
Dashboard Screen - Key Elements
Irrigation Actions
Displays the fields that require irrigation and the estimated duration needed to complete irrigation and how many inches it will irrigate. These serve as action alerts for timely field management.
Sensor Alerts
Highlights system notifications such as a low battery warning or voltage for gateways or sensors, ensuring the hardware is functioning reliably.
Edit Farm Information
The Edit option allows users to update or modify the selected farm’s details.
Moisture Overview Table
Summarizes the current soil moisture status across fields.
Moisture Status: The value inside the colored box represents the water content as a percentage of the field capacity, while the value outside the box indicates the stress point as a percentage of the field capacity.
Deficit: Indicates how many hours to irrigate and how many inches it will irrigate the field.
Till Req: Shows the remaining time between current time and the next scheduled irrigation.
Field Status Indicators: Color-coded markers highlight moisture levels across different soil depths (e.g., 4 in, 8 in, 12 in), helping visualize soil conditions at a glance.
Moisture Status Legend
Color | Meaning |
Red | Urgent – Immediate irrigation required |
Orange | Below – Soil moisture is low and trending toward critical |
Yellow | Refill – Field should be irrigated soon |
Light Green | Full – Soil moisture is at an optimal level |
Dark Green | Over – Soil moisture is higher than required |
Trend Indicators
Up Arrow – The current value is higher than the previous reading.
Down Arrow – The current value is lower than the previous reading.
These arrows help track how soil moisture levels are changing over time, enabling proactive irrigation planning.
Field Screen
This is similar to dashboard screen with each field detail scombined in one card present which includes details like field name, crop name, area, last communication time with the gateway, and the urgency of the irrigation or irrigation is full , deficit indicating the amount of hours the field needs to be irrigated and how many inches it will irrigate. The card displaying Ready to refill can have the followign messages dependign on the irrgation urgency such as:
Irrigate Now
Condition: Less than 1 hour until next irrigation
Color: Red
Ready to Refill
Condition: Less than 30 hours until next irrigation
Color: Red
Message: Field should be irrigated soon
Ready to Refill
Condition: 30–72 hours until next irrigation
Color: Orange
Nearly Ready to Refill
Condition: 72–120 hours until next irrigation
Color: Yellow
Note: As the irrigation is full, the event required shows >7d (which is not required irrigation for few days)
Field Details Screen
To access a specific field, click on the field name from the dashboard or field screen.
The Field Details Screen provides a comprehensive overview of the selected field. The following information is displayed:
Field name and crop name
Area of the field
Gateway serial number / External ID
Last communication timestamp with the gateway
Battery percentage / Battery level
Deficit information
Moisture status (similar to the dashboard and field screen)
Additionally, several interactive graphs are available. Users can swipe horizontally or use the navigation dots below the graphs to switch between different graph views. At the bottom, a Soil Information Table displays the latest values, including moisture status, moisture percentage, soil temperature (°F), and salinity.
On the top-right corner, tapping the Settings icon provides an “Open in Maps” option, which redirects the user to Google Maps or Apple Maps for navigation to the field’s location.
Graph Features
All graphs display data for the past 30 days (or the maximum available).
Zoom & Pan:
On mobile, pinch in/out to zoom into a specific graph region.
On desktop, scroll up/down with the mouse to zoom in/out.
Inspect:
A powerful feature that allows users to tap and drag across the graph. The corresponding values at a particular time and depth will be displayed.
Irrigation Status
The Soil Status (Irrigation Status) graph visualizes soil water conditions over time. Each line represents a different parameter:
Dark Blue – Field Capacity (100%)
Red – Permanent Wilting Point, calculated as:
(Permanent Wilting Point / Field Capacity) × 100Light Blue – Water Content, calculated as:
(Water Content / Field Capacity) × 100Orange – Stress Point, calculated as:
(Stress Point / Field Capacity) × 100
By default, the “ALL” option is selected, showing aggregated values across all depths. Users may also view individual depths by selecting the respective depth option.
Soil Moisture Graph
Plots Soil Moisture (%) against time (last 30 days or available data).
Each color represents a different soil depth.
Users can toggle depths on/off for better comparison.
Soil Temperature Graph
Plots Soil Temperature (°F) against time.
Each color represents a different depth.
Depths can be toggled for detailed comparison.
Soil Salinity Graph
Plots Soil Salinity (VIC) (concentration of dissolved salts in soil or water) against time.
Each color represents a different depth.
Depths can be toggled for comparative analysis.
Water Pressure Graph
Plots Water Pressure (psi) against time (30-day range or available data).
Air Temperature Graph
Plots Air Temperature (°F) against time (30-day range or available data).
Soil Information Table
The Soil Information Table displays the most recent fetched and calculated values from the gateway, including:
Moisture status
Moisture, temperature, and salinity readings for each soil depth
The up/down arrows indicate trends compared to previous values.
