The Grower Admin is responsible for creating fields within a farm. This process involves four structured steps, as outlined below.
Navigating to the Field Screen
1.Log in as a Grower Admin.
2.Upon successful login, you will be directed to the Grower Dashboard.
- From the Farms tab, select the desired farm.
- You will then be redirected to the Farm Dashboard.
3.Click on the Fields tab to open the Fields screen.
4.Click the "+" button on the top-right corner to add a new field.
Steps to Create a Field
The field creation process is completed through a guided stepper with four stages:
Step 1: Add Field Information
Enter the Field Name.
Select the location of the field on the map.
Click Place Marker to set coordinates.
Use Remove Marker to reposition and place again.
Alternatively, select Current Location to auto-place the marker.
Enter the Field Area (in acres).
Step 2: Assign or Add an Irrigation System
Once the field details are saved, the user is redirected to the Irrigation System setup.
Click Select Irrigation System to view the list of available systems.
Choose a system from the list and click Select to assign it to the field.
The user can configure irrigation parameters in two ways:
1.Use Default – system parameters are automatically populated with default values.
2.Select Field – copy irrigation parameters from an existing field.Default values can be fine-tuned as per field requirements.
Click Save to finalize the irrigation system configuration.
Note: This step can be skipped temporarily using the Skip button, and completed later.
Step 3: Assign or Add a Crop
After irrigation is configured, the user is guided to the Crop Setup page.
Begin by selecting a Seeding Date from the calendar.
Next, click Select Crop to open the list of available crops.
Choose a crop from the list and confirm by clicking Select.
Crop parameters can be configured in two ways:
1.Use Default – pre-filled crop parameters are provided.
2.Select Field – copy crop parameters from another field.Users can further customize crop growth stages:
By default, four stages are added.
Stages can be edited, deleted, or new stages can be added using the Add Stages button.
Click Save to complete crop setup.
Note: Crop assignment is optional and can be skipped for later completion.
Step 4: Assign a Gateway
The final step is to onboard a Kudelski Gateway. This can be done in two ways:
1.Scan QR Code – scan the QR code located on the gateway device.
2.Enter Kudelski Code – manually enter the code provided with the device and click Save to proceed.
Method 1: Scan QR Code
Tap Scan QR Code on the gateway onboarding page.
Grant permission to use the camera if prompted.
Scan the QR code located on the Kudelski gateway device.
The system processes the scanned information. If successful, you will be prompted to select a Device Bundle from the available list.
Once a device bundle is selected, press the hardware button on the gateway device to finalize onboarding.
The system will process the input and, if successful, display the Field screen, confirming field creation.
Method 2: Enter Kudelski Code
On the gateway onboarding page, enter the Kudelski Code in the input field.
Once the code is entered, the Save button becomes active.
Tap Save to proceed, after which the loader screen will appear to process the information.
The user will then be guided to the same steps as in Method 1 (select device bundle → press gateway button → complete onboarding).
Note:
If the button press is not registered, a failure message will appear. The user will be prompted to press the button again to retry the process.
Completion
Once all four steps are completed, the field will be successfully created and available for management within the farm.
It may take some time before recommendations or alerts are available, as the system needs to collect and process data from the gateway.
